Foca na Pipoca

The brand was created for the popcorn vendor Rafael, developed by me and colleagues from Bendito Design through a pro bono project. Located for more than ten years in front of one of the most traditional clubs in Porto Alegre, his stand has been a frequent stop for many of our afternoon snacks. Rafa’s popcorn carries tradition and flavor, but his cart needed greater visibility and some renovation.

Because popcorn is strongly connected to memory and affection, the brand called for a more human and playful element. Foca na Pipoca now has a catchy, joyful name that plays with the rhyme between foca (which in Portuguese can mean both “to focus” and the animal “seal”) and pipoca (“popcorn”), bringing humor, lightness, and a sense of fun to the identity while highlighting the product and Rafa himself.
